Archie - If THIS club member (and critic) was
satisfied with the club auction (before YOU
made the change), and who also met the club's
request to consign additional quality material even
though his quota was met, why do you feel that some
of the others (who also no longer consign and were
willing to pay a set fee if the lot(s) didn't sell)
would not
be equally satified if ANY change was made? Also,
please define what you mean by "...the free ride
'they' are looking for." Archie, I still can't
understand why you wanted to charge me an addition
$150 if my $1500 lot did not sell when you know any
one of us would gladly pay a set fee above the 10$ listing fee. How is this
a "free ride" for the consignor (if that's who you
were referring to)?
While this whole topic started on this bb...and will
probably continue to stay here (this is where the
action is) before presented
somewhere else, why not tell the group exactly why
you made the changes and are against going back to
the type auctions that included higher-quality
material being consigned. As I noted in a previous
post. there were a few good reasons.
Thanks,
JB
