I remember that auction too.......quite well in fact! It's not really a direct reply to this thread but certainly associated!! A few weeks ago, a thread built about the relationship between auctions and sales. My position at that time was that collector/dealers do not seem to list chips for sale anymore, they automatically place them up for auction! Granted I do not check your site daily, but WAS this chip listed on your web page for sale?
That's the beauty of this whole internet stuff! We have areas to advertize our items, so why not use it! I frequently post a simple note here when my trade or trade/sale lists changes dramatically and I'm not afraid to put a price on items I offer and sell/trade at that value.
