I've finally had the time to go through the entire collection I'm offering for sale and now I have the final 'numbers'. As stated before, it it an almost complete collection up to the $5 denomination from the Riverboat casinos of Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Louisiana. Also included in the collection are the Indian casinos of the states of Iowa and Louisiana. What I've decided to keep from the collection are the Caesars chips of Indiana (my specialty) plus all the house chips from the Harrah's casinos in any of the states noted above (also any associated Grand Opening chips of Harrahs)to keep with my Harrah's collection. All of the chips I've kept are easily obtainable for the collection to be complete by anyone interested in buying the collection.
The collection consists of 378 chips with a face value of $1,154 which doesn't include the values of the cancelled and never issued chips included in the collection. I have a FIRM price of $2500 DELIVERED for the collection. At just over twice face, it is a very reasonable price considering it includes some 'tough' obsoletes! In about two weeks I intend to offer the collection on ebay should there be no takers here. Price on ebay will be a bit higher to cover the ebay 'vig'. If anyone interested would like a list of the chips being offered, I have copies in BOTH Lotus 123 and Excel spreadsheet formats. Just send me an email requesting the list and the format you'd like it in and I'll attach it to an email reply.
