I have no problem with governmental rules and regulations regarding fraudulent reproductions of collectible items, but would vehemently oppose ANY effort to give government the right to restrict the sale by private individuals or corporations of their personal property (at any price).
Those who choose to collect live $100 chips do so with full knowledge that the demise of the casino (or discontinuation of the chips) might well result in a drop in value if the chips are sold off by the casino at less than face. One of the chances you take (similar to paying a high price for a seemingly "rare" chip only to have a box show up and knock the stuffing out of the market).
