Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
The more I look at the GN $1 in your image (also shown below) as well as the one in my collection, the more I'm starting to believe that it is a Burt Co chip.

The CJ's have a nice deep and shinny Hat with a long thin cane - also shinny. The other characteristic of a CJ chip is that the hat in concave (into the chip). Yet in this GN $1, the hat isn't that deep, nor is it concave and very shinny...
This 3-D effect is hard to show in a 2-D image...

Would you agree?
