I stopped by the offices of Las Vegas Advisor to pick up my subscriber's coupon book a couple of weeks ago. They were just opening the boxes of the new "The Art of Gambling Through the Ages" that they have published. I picked up a copy and scanned the dust jacket below.
Very nice book, printed in China, and high quality throughout. Over 200 pages in the 9" x 12" format, with a repro of a famous piece of art on one page and facing it, a description of its history. Foreword is by Leroy Neiman (no, not Neiman Marcus, Doug) and it includes several of his distinctive works depicting casino scenes. Works by Goya, Degas, and Cezanne for the classics lover, and also the "dogs playing poker" by Coolidge.
Great book, and if you hurry, you might get one at the subscriber's price of $40. Regular price is $65.
