*** Julia Roberts signs on for 'The Mexican'

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - Julia Roberts has committed to star with
Brad Pitt in both "The Mexican" for director Gore Verbinski, and an
ensemble remake of "Ocean's Eleven" for director Steven Soderbergh.
James Gandolfini, the celebrated star of "The Sopranos," will join
Pitt and Roberts in "The Mexican." Roberts' deals have yet to be
completed. However, the $20 million-dollar star has agreed to put
aside her megasalary for both projects. Roberts is expected to get a
small upfront fee in exchange for a significant backend. The $10-$12
million "The Mexican," up next for Roberts, is scheduled to start
shooting in May.
