Here is scan of Tropicana Atlantic City's Chinese New Year "Year Of The Dragon" chip. Was surprised that no one had posted it yet.

This chip was supposed to be released at 12:00 noon on Saturday. One rack (100 chips) were brought out at 11:45 and were limited to ten chips per person. The first ten people in line scooped them up. They were gone by noon. Pit boss said another fill would be ordered. The second fill of 100 chips did not arrive until 1:10 pm. Again, the ten people in line asborbed that fill between spins on a roulette game in progrss. No more chips would be released until 8 p.m. was the word from the pit. At 6:00 p.m. Trop put 200 chips out for employees purchases primarily. Those arriving at 8 pm had to wait until close to 9 p.m. before another five stacks (100 chips) were delivered and another 100 supposedly would be put out at 10 p.m. Several chippers left in disgust. One chipper who posts regularly on this bb had a 6 hour drive to attend his grandmothers funeral and couldn't hang around. He did get his limit of ten chips. Those who bought chips previously were challenged and turned away. On a hunch, I went back to Trop at 6:00 am Sunday morning and saw five stacks of the new chip and was allowed to purchase a whole stack by the new crew working the grave shift. Only 1000 of these chips were issued.

Sorry for the long post, but I thought some of you would like to know the problems we sometimes encounter in A.C. obtaining these chips at Tropicana.
