Yesterday, while at an early bird antique show
preview, Mike, Rich and myself viewed some of the
altered $25 Fremont (HUB) chips floating about.
Some of the better "fakes" need a second glance
before peeling off long green. Simply look at the
inlay and see how it's poorly glued into a new slug.
When I originaly spotted my example several years
ago, I alerted some dealers and Howdy Herz who wrote
a very interesting piece in the club
magazine...which I would like to see reprinted on
our club website.
