Sounds like it might be a promotional chip for the Mark Hopkins Hotel in SF. I've never seen one with this lettering, but the sample brass-core chips are made with a blank area where engraving can be done. Mel did some of these with engraving as gifts for dealers at one of the early chip shows. Hopefully, he will read this message and will respond. He's having trouble connecting to the web today.
