The board recently discussed using "private" auctions on eBay.

I bid on one of John's auctions and within 24 hours began receiving "offers" of chips in the same catagory from people who had harvested my email address from John's auction site.

This seldom happens to me in any other catagory but "casino chips". Why is this?

Private auctions would keep predators like this from feeding off the efforts of other sellers..
