As Katie said, it depends on your purpose; if primarily for gambling or winter sports (Summer too, for that matter) Reno is the place to go. But I love N.O.--I too wander around at night in the Quarter; fantastic foods; fun bars; and antiques--great antiques. I found some of my early Mississippi treasures on Magazine Street. I wouldn't go to N.O. to gamble, tho.
