Hi Larry - I'm not here to change your
thinking...nor am I suggesting what anyone should do
"AFTER" a runaway auction. This situation/auction involves a
person who I know, trust and like... and I know his thinking in
listing that auction was in no way intended to
attract two bidders who are possibly new to the
hobby to see how much he can juice them for. I've
had several similar auctions where I first informed
all bidders that the chip is common, easilly
available at only 50% above face, and then ended the
auction early to relist it. I also informed eBay
first of the "runaway" and they issued me a credit after I explained the facts to them.
Otherwise, I agree as to what an auction is when it
comes to not so common material,,,in which does not apply to a chip such as this being listed to simply sell at its current accepted value.
