I put up the 4 Queens $25 Millennium chip a week ago. This is one of 250... Someone bid $29 on it the first day. Last night he retracted the bid, saying Sooooory, wrong item. Now the bid is $26.00, and less than a day to go.
What happens to anyone who looked at the chip and didn't bid because it was high enough? Or maybe someone recognized the name and says, oh a friend with a 238 rating has bid, I'll leave it alone.
Lets say for instance two people get together. Person one bids a dollar over face. Then bidder two bids at the top of the usualy selling price. A day before the auction ends, and lookers have skipped this one as too high, he removes the bid and his pal gets it for a buck over face?
Just a new spin on possible tricks. I didn't email the retraction bidder, I'll just trust that he can't figure out that a 1999 Millennium chip from the 4 Queens was something else? Pretty hard to missidentify that one. <G>
