Agree that might be good for a larger qty of chips. However when a bidder pays $2.00 for one chip and has to pay $3.20 to have it shipped, the final cost of that $2.00 chip is pretty high. The security of delivery can be handled thru the small cost of insurance or the delivery confirmation notice.
Also keep in mind that any package, parcel post or priority that weighs more than ,I think, 16 ounces and has stamps MUST be handed to a postal employee and can not be dropped in a mail box. So maybe the convenience for the sender is not really that convenient.
I just say - give the buyer a choice on shipping, he's the one paying for it. There are times when I don't mind paying the priority costs to get my items quickly. I guess the real gripe is the $6 to $8 charged by some senders for a small light weight item. That $6 or $8 is calculated into the final price bid on the item and the seller is the one loosing money.
