This will never change, Archie. Why get yoursellf upset about it when there are more important things to worry about....like where's Mel? <g> Besides, The only reason many of these eBay sellers use the word "rare" is probably due to a lack of knowing a better word or group of words to build a more accurate description. Most of them admit they know nothing about chips. There was a post on this board by someone (during our threads on rare) mentioning that a certain California card room closed and those chips are now rare. I don't think that person meant any harm or was trying to pull the whool over anyone's eyes on this board. He was just sharing information telling us of what closed and was happy to pass on that those chips are no longer available by simply walking into the club and he now considered them rare. No big thing. We have to understand that John Q. Public has no idea whatsover as to the meaning of rare, because he's never been "taught" the word as you and I have. We have to live with this, Archie....don't let it get to you...turn away from it like the majority of us have. Nobody is in danger because the word rare is not being used correctly.
