Re: "Loyalty"/Way to go Roy/ Attn; Kruse

Hi Guys, Auctions are like no other selling tools. You can make some great buys and you can make some not so great buys. In this country there is a competitive spirit taught to all of us almost from the time of birth(particilarly in the male of the species). In the auction business we not only expect this, beleive it or not we exploit it. Not bidding on an item because a friend wants it or has bid on it is quite common, especially in small tight knit groups like ours. You see this happen a lot on what I call lukewarm items(I can live without it), but when that really elusive item hits the block its funny to watch as friends won't even look at each other as the bid. By the way, ageeing not to bid on an item because someone else is, pre-agreeing who'll pay what, and most pre-auction ageements among bidders constitutes bid rigging and is illegal in every state.
