The last day of last year the Belgian Goverment finally published the
Law that legalise Belgian Casino's.
The Law says "It is forbidden to organise gambling except in...."
And then goes on that it is possible in the following cities,
Oostende, Knokke, Blankenbergen and Middelkerke (all on the Coast),
Spa, Chaudfontaine, Namur and Dinant (the Ardennes) AND this is the
BIG NEWS Brussels !!!!!
They stipulate the city NOT the owner or even place (building).
As Belgium have 3 Regions (with own goverment and a federal goverment)
The regions are Flanders (Dutch spoken, North-West), the Ardennes (French spoken,South-East) and the Brussels Capital region. Each of the casino's
pay their TAX to the region where they are.
What did the Capital region did NOT have a CASINO !!!
So this is fixed in the NEW law.
Now everybody is curious who will get the license to open the Casino.
Because there will be 9 casinos for more or less the same public, the turnover will drop, so to compensate for the first time in History the casinos can introduce slotmachines !!!
