Jim, Bob's problem is he can't distinguish a year starting at zero, at the first moment of the first day, and a year numbered zero, counted as zero, all year long. He's probably a nice person anyhow.
Here's a letter to the editor, RG-J 1/14/2000. Darleen displays the same flawed thinking so common to the millemmingums. To her, "year one denotes the completion of one year." So what was that first year that was completed? Who was making all that noise for a whole year before we got to the "first" year? She's the one who refuses to count the year her daughter was alive, before her first birthday. And she has the gall to ask where OUR common sense is!
