Well, the responses have stopped so it's time to post the results. There were a total of 58 responses who answered all 4 questions. Two replies did not answer all 4 so were not counted to keep the percentages even. I've posted in percentages and they may not add to 100 due to rounding. Some of the answers were predictable.....some surprising! Here they are:

Member of a Local Chapter?
53.4% YES
46.6% NO
Main reason for the NO's was there were no local chapters 'LOCAL' to the respondants to join.

How long have you been collecting?
25+ years 8.6%
20-25 years 6.9%
15-20 years 5.1%
10-15 years 5.1%
5-10 years 27.6%
1-5 years 36.2%
new-<1 year 10.3%
It was surprising to see that almost 50% of the respondants were collecting for 5 years or less. I guess it's true when they say we're growing!!<g>

How much would you spend for a chip?
to $50 20.7%
to $100 20.7%
to $250 15.5%
to $500 12.1%
to $1000 3.4%
over $1000 27.6%
Again a surprise where 30%, or 1/3 of the replies would spend $1000 or more for that 'special" chip for their collection. A good spread though showing there's a market for ALL values of chips.

Thanks to all that took the time to reply. It doesn't mean 'squat' as the number of replies was low but it was interesting none the less! Wonder how a National Survey inserted in the club magazine would do??
