I'm not sure what the monogram is either but my guess is MAK.
In my Crest & Seal article in Chequers Magazine, I listed it
as MAK? The chip IS in the USPC photos, John. The only info
on the label is that it was made by USPC in 1927. Too bad they
didn't tell us more about the chips that they made. It kinda
looks like Michael A. Knapp's handwriting.<g>
