I've just purchased a one-of-a-kind (I think) $5 Tropicana chip from a BJ dealer at Tropicana yesterday at a pretty hefty price. I've never seen one before.... neither have several Trop dealers who have handled tens of thousands of nickel chips. Was wondering if anyone else who specializes in Atlantic City chips have ever seen one before. The chip with the pink background is the normal issue. The chip with the white background behind the $5 denomination is the chip I'm seeking information on. The scan appears to be yellowish, but the actual background color is white... as are the letters. Would appreciate any information anyone has on this newly discovered piece.
