Hey, I wasn't going for some literary award there, John! It seemed important at the time!!! Of course, it would have been a more compelling story if someone had been in the wrong place at the wrong time when a 2-pound hunk a 'crete with a sharp edge came hurling down. Finding them embedded in the ground edge-first only means they missed these people sitting under the bridge enjoying the music.
I was told the concrete broke off because the rust takes up space the concrete wanted to occupy. I hadn't thought about the chemical process of rusting creating gas. I'll buy that too.
So why couldn't that guy find a place for just one more brick?
