After I directed this honest ebay seller to this bulletin board to review some of the comments being made about misrepresentations in ebay descriptions, he has offered to rewrite his ebay text in the current offerings and all future chip offerings. He will substitute the word "rare" with "vintage". I don't think anyone will have a problem with that. The bottom line is, that there is a major educational job that should be done by those who care about such matters. If any of you feel the way I do, I urge you to contact some of these sellers whom we don't know. If they are typical sellers such as the mistaken seller I've been corresponding with, there is hope at the end of the tunnel. Read Chris' positive reponse below, after visiting thechipboard.com
"Hello again,
The site is very impresive. I did not know that chip collecting
is so popular. I have removed the term "rare" from my desciption as not to
offend anyone else. I have left the term "vintage" as I think this is an
accurate statwment. I think this shows that what might be rare to some is
not to others. I live in SC and gamleing is not legal here or anywhere
around, therefore chips are not that common. Are the chiups I have listed
valuable at all?
Thanks again for your comments. I have left positive feedback
for you for your help."
