Archie, while I agree with you concerning those unconscionable rip-off artists, there is another group which should be addressed. These are the honest, forthright chippers who are, I feel, apologists for the scammers. You remember the "rare is a relative term" excuse. These people, who are really nice people (and I know are your friends), must also understand that by validating their methods they are undermining what you are saying. Attracting "newbies" is the life blood of the hobby. Defending such scroundrals makes your job (and mine) that much more difficult.
