Paul; Let's not mix oranges with apples. Most of us know full well about the type of chips that are being misrepresented on ebay as being "rare". We don't have to list every chip known to man and define it as being rare or not. Let's call a spade a spade. Throw out TCR, Campiglia's guide, Black's Catalogs, Pollack's Aruba Catalog, Dale Seymour's poker chip catalog and others. We all know which type of common recent chips that are being touted on ebay as being "rare", so let's not throw up misleading smoke screens. $9.99 chips on ebay are NOT RARE! Can't make it any clearer than that... or maybe I can. Let's try this approach... If virtually every chipper already has a particular chip in his/her collection from the area he/she collects, is there anyone out there who honestly believes that those chips are "rare"? Didn't think so... so why do we tolerate sellers who also know that what they are misrepresenting is not "rare"?
