To All,
Four years ago I purchased the following chip, at the urging of my friend Doug Saito, a Fremont 10 cent card room. At that time listening to Doug was the only real knowledge I could obtain in helping me make decisions in purchasing chips.
I have learned that one ingredient which helps determine if a chip is rare is its availability at the time I want to buy. I have looked at MANY binders in the last few years and have NEVER seen this chip for sale. It is currently, with burns, available in the Fuller Auction.
The Chip Rack lists this chip as a "J" - $50.00 - $59.00. The other price guide has it at $150.00. Is this chip rare??? In my opinion it is. Why? I have not seen one for sale in the last four years. I might have missed it in an auction since I don't do auctions <g>. However, that would be the only place.
Certainly the price guides do not place it in a "rare" category. If I was selling it - I would describe it as "RARE" followed by the question. How many have you seen for sale???<lol> Best, Jim
