The Nats that Travis is refering to are the Syracuse Nationals they where in Syracuse From the very late 40s until the muid 50s (i think).
My uncle who was a professional bowler knew the owner of the Nats,who also owned bowling alleys in Syracuse. In fact the owner Joe Barone invented the 24 second clock used in the NBA today. You could look it up. I remember as a small boy my uncle taking me to Nats games at the old Syracuse War Memorial bldg.
