I understand, but it's still a poor substitute for conveying "true" emotion. I feel a better choice of words is far superior than any emoticon...especially because the readers are not able to see exactly how the speaker (writer) is delivering their message. Too often we read posts where the emoticon is simply false... where the writer does their slamming and then just simply smiles (<g>) as to say, "pease, I said what I had to in order to hurt 'you' and passers-bye will never know what my true emotion was when I said it." What good is the emoticon, then?
