I think I'll hold off on scanning my MOP pieces, but it's nice to know that the light won't harm the plaques.

The bleeding seems to have stopped. I was told that it was probably due to the piece having been kept in a plastic bag for storage. I've got it in a safe place where it can breathe and so far so good.
