You are overlooking the greater truth here, Jim. Gene has a chip program at the Fiesta to defend. Their chips clearly and blatantly declare 1999 to be the last year of the current millennium, and 2000 to be the first year new millennium. He can't admit that they're "error" chips until AFTER they've been released!
