Gene - It's not the same chip. The chip you have is
the one seen below. Neither the chip in the eBay
auction or this one is made from ivory. The author
Thomas C. Day did not know how to distinguish real
ivory from "French Ivory" which is nothing more than
Celluloid: a flammable substance made from pyroxylin
combined with camphor (photographic film). Casinos
stopped using this material in the 1930s. The piece
seen below (interlaced "CC" on obverse / "5" on
reverse) is also a true Die-cut
metal inlay, where the piece in the auction is
Filigree-overlay (not fully imbedded). The
"CC" monogram is unknown to me and by collectors in
Europe. I purchased them from a florist shop in
Chicago. I have three nice pieces left @ $20 each
(no edge chips), and two pieces with edge chips @
$10 each. Everything else is gone. They must be
from a casino; they're serial numbered.
