Jazz Alley just issued their millennium chip, releasing them at the rate of 100 per day. That's not the half of it. They are charging double the face value, $10.00 each.
Someone took the initiative to talk to the head of Colorado gaming about it, and they answered with the following: They told him if we (the collectors) were dumb enough to pay the extra it, was our fault.
My same source said that he heard one of the casinos is going to charge $15 for their millenium chip. Don't as yet know which one though. Creekers in Cripple Creek is charging $59 for $41.50 face chip/token set. As is Double Eagle in Cripple Creek.
I don't suppose I need to make any comment to the above posting except I think I remember a nursery rhyme or something to the effect regarding the killing of the goose that layed the golden egg.
I never though in my lifetime I would be on the side of joining an alliance to boycott a product or a business establishment, but I guess anything is possible if one lives long enough.
By the way, the above was confirmed by two sources and I was giving permission to post the information if I would not reveal names, so if you are inclined to ask who it was, don't bother.
