OK, here's my guess. When posting a reply to a message, the board reads and sets a cookie for TheChipBoard at www.thechipboard.com.

When loading the main message list, the board reads an old cookie for TheChipBoard at thechipb.hostme.com, if it exists, then when posting sets the first cookie above. This second cookie is never updated, and never created if it doesn't exist. The board should be looking for the first cookie at the main page, not the old second cookie.
