I wonder if they could apply the zero cost basis to a current chip you buy at a casino for face and sell for a few $$'s over face? Anybody ever try and get a receipt from the casino for chips you buy? They will either think you are some kind of sick joker or have secuirty escort you out. Do you think the IRS would at least allow you to to cost a chip at face?
