I agree with Gene. Most, if not all, dealers collect. I am strictly a collector--except at the national show and then I peddle. But I don't see a difference, except that a dealer who seeks to earn all or part of his living at dealing, will probably have fixed costs that we collectors who occasionally sell do not have.
