I rarely sell chips. I trade often. Being a CPA I see nothing wrong with trying to get the most you can for an item you have. I do have a problem with structured pricing, lying, cheating, etc., as I previously defined many threads ago in dealing with "Joes" from Gerlach. However, whether one charges $7.00, $8.00 $12.00 or $15.00 for a current chip is, IMO, a moot non issue. If one does not like the price - don't buy! Purchase from someone else. I hear what people get for chips on ebay. It is enough to get one sick!
Paul, please forgive me but I see a double standard. Its O.K. to max. profit on ebay because you are dealing with the general public; but it is not alright to max. profit with a club member. Makes no sense to me. People are people. What's the difference? Membership in a club does not, or should not, allow one to apply a different ethical standard to a situation.
No one is more collector orientated than I am. I have gotten into it many times with various chip dealers over quantities, and other facets of their transactions. In this case, Allen wants $15.00. If you think it's too high pass. Your comments, IMO, were out of line. It appears from Allen's post he has them all. Kinda tough if you collect Millennium pogs.<g> Guess you pay the price or go without.<lol> Best, Jim
