Yes, Bob, I am well aware of the cost and effort it takes to obtain chips. In past years I have take as many as two long chip runs per year to the northwest, (around 4,000 miles per trip) spent many thousands of dollars and visited over 50 casinos, many of them Indian in out-of-the-way places. And although I traded most of the chips, I did sell some but never more than for $7.00 per chip and in many cases just for cost.
But once again, I don't condemn people for trying to charge more than what I would charge for a current chip. I just did it for the love of it. I enjoy going and while I am there getting chips for myself, It didn't hurt me to get extra for others. I know others who do the same thing. We're not in it for the money aspect, just doing it to make ourselves feel good and at the same time help others.
This is what I thought a club was for. The gathering of people with the same interest and to help others out. I guess that's the big difference between a dealer and a collector. The difference between someone charging $25.00 for a chip and one charging $1.00 for the same chip.
I feel that there is quite a difference between someone selling a chip on Ebay to the general public and someone trying to get top dollar from a fellow club member. But I guess I am alone with this attitude. So be it.
I do know you feel the same way Bob, as you have already demonstraded your thoughts in sales to me in the past.
