I sent this image to John Benedict recently and asked what he knew about these items. Does anyone else have any info on them? They sure are nice looking. It would be great to pin them down.

There has been much speculation through the years as to where these
chips are from. The information that spread around the country was
that they came from a casino in Vichy, France (Elysee Palace), which we
have no record of. All we know is that this type of "filigree overlay"
was produced in France between 1925 and 1930 -- and there are no
records of these found anywhere, though we do know what has been used in
the Palace during the 20s and 30s, and it was not these. We conclude
they are either part of a special order private set or generic. Very few
casinos used this type of chip, Monaco being one.
