I am speaking with no personal knowledge of match collecting, but what I have noticed from a number of match auctions on eBay. Most auctions will say things like: No matches missing, with matches, sorry (1) match gone, complete with matches, almost always a specific mention regarding the actual match condition. I feel you may want to think twice before removing the matches, at least until you get several "professional" opinions.
