Bob; Everything you said above may be quite true. Individual employees may be making money ... but the bottom line is that the CASINO is not making the amount of money per square foot that revenue from slot machines create. Several of Atlantic City's Casinos also have closed their poker rooms AND LOUNGES in order to squeeze more slot machines into valuable floor space. Guess it just comes down to a business decision that the suits make. I don't like to see it happen either ... and I'm not a poker player ... but I did enjoy the lounge entertainment.
