You might not be totally sunk. I have a friend who has her dish pointed squarely through a stand of evergreens, and she still gets reception. With some help, you might want to try seeing if you can receive the signal through the trees before doing a permanent installation of the dish. I have a very strong feeling that your utilities company won't let you mount it on one of their poles.
