Given the actions being attempted in some gaming jurisdictions to remove ATM's from casino areas, limits on what a card in a slot machine can do will be closely watched by legislators. I personally think it would be a bad idea to make slot/credit card acceptable machines. I'd even dislike it if I was a casino owner or shareholder. I've had to use an ATM card to access funds that are in my own savings or checking accounts at a casino (that's one thing, it's my money, and would prefer not to carry too much cash), and have in the past used credit cards in casinos for cash advances (that's another thing, that's borrowed money). A little time to think about what you are doing (the walk to the ATM) can make a difference on how some people treat credit, people that need to think about it when they are having a good time but losing money.
