I don't know about Laughlin, but they aren't room keys in Joliet. I have heard that the Desert Inn in Las Vegas had ran out of slot cards & used room keys as VIP cards. They did fit in the machines. I had asked for a 2nd diamond card & they will not give it to you. They will print up a gold card & tell you to keep the Diamond card in your pocket & only use it for comps.
