I just checked the referral rules. The one-month free for referral applies to my own cable provider system (Cox@Home) in their various cities, although I bet other @Home cable partners do this also. If the Las Vegas cable system is Cox, then I can do the rebate for Gene (or anyone else who plans to switch to Cox@Home cable.) There are some other easy to follow "rules", which I can explain to anyone who wants to be referred.

If you have a different service, check around for someone else to do the referral.
