We're talking the "classic" James Bond here! TBS is currently showing all the Bond movies, and "Diamonds Are Forever" was on last night. My favorite part of this movie is the car chase through downtown Vegas, which shows what the place looked like in 1965. If you look closely (or have a VCR!) you can see such long gone clubs as the Carousel, Club Bingo and even the Cinnabar (the one on Ogden that Bob Stupak eventually bought). Also, earlier in the film there is a scene shot inside Circus Circus where the movie is actually filmed over live tables and chips! You can see the classic ringmaster 1.00s & 5.00s on the table. I'd like to see them try that today! Gaming would have a fit. Also, there is an early scene where 007 is playing craps at the "Whyte House" (ficticious casino invented for the movie) but you can't make out the prop chips being used. Maybe some long closed casino's chips? Or maybe the "Casino de Isthmus" chips of the day!
