John; I don't know how one measures in dollars the benefit of distributing these nickels. As for a waste of money; using that logic, then it was a huge waste of our own money for Brenda and I and Janice and Jerry to attend previous F.U.N. conventions (as Bob Ginsberg has stated in his post) representing CC>CC at prior F.U.N. conventions at our own personal expense before there was a Florida Chapter. These promotional woods were meant to be distributed and given out to visitors to the annual F.U.N. show. Having said that; the club has sold quite a few of these wooden mementoes of the occassion to wooden money collectors and to CC>CC members who wished to add them to their collections. As a result, the club has recouped a portion of the cost. I too would hope the board would re-consider while there is still time. These woods can't cost more than $100 to manufacture and deliver. In fact, I'll offer to contribute $50 towards their cost to produce. I thought the club was in a fairly solid financial position when Chuck gave his last report at convention only several months ago this year.
