I spent many a night in some of those East side bars. In fact I was one of those hippies! Not really but I did go to UWM 1969-73 and did help shut the University down as a war protest. My favorite Milwaukee bar was the National Liquor bar where you could buy a shot and a beer for $ .30 and the entertainment was watching the drunk next to you fall off of his bar stool<G>.
