As you'll see, there was a box (100 chips) found in the Tropicana around 1981 by a friend of mine. They stayed in his attic from that time until 2 1/2 years ago when he found out I was into chips. I have not seen another "Marty's" chip in the last 2 1/2 years & I have looked & asked everywhere I go! When Jim & I showed the chip to Jerry Wall (who bought all the Borland chips) at a local chapter meeting (about 2 years ago) he did not have one. He did confirm that it was a real chip & wanted to buy the entire box. As for where the 100 chips are, Jim owns 3, Doug Saito 1, Scott Bensyl 1, 3 went (1 each) to friends of myself & the friend who found the chips. I have 8 & the remaining 84 are back in my friends attic! He has no desire to sell his & I am not selling the ones I have. Only 2 have been sold, at the price of $50 each. One to Doug Saito & the other to Jim, this was when I first found out about the chips & was done in the hopes that I could light a fire under either Jim or Doug to find out some information! Jim came thru as he always does when it comes to finding out about a chip. You asked me to put a value on the chip & at this point I would say it is an "L" chip ($75-$99). Also you might want to note that they are in new condition & my friend did not overlook a box or two when he got these. There were 3 box's of chips total & the other two were Tropicana Roulette chips from the 1970's! Michael Knapp & I have talked about the Marty's chip a few times, but not enough information was known at the time to have the chip put in the Chip Rack.
