Excellent and very thorough advice to the newbie Bob! The only other things I would mention is to make every atttempt to attend one or two of the several chip shows that are held around the country. The annual club convention in Las Vegas is "must go" pilgrimage for the majority of collectors. In addition to joining the national club; if there is a local CC>CC chapter club in your area.... by all means visit one of their meetings and sign up if you like what you see.
